A 24-year-old Saskatoon man is facing nine charges including assaulting a police officer following a report of a domestic assault.
Shortly after 12:00 p.m. on Friday, police were called to a home in the 700 block of Avenue M South for a report of a domestic assault.
Officers say they confirmed that the assault took place, and that the suspect fled moments prior to police arrival.
A suspect located nearby refused to comply with police commands. As officers were attempting to take him into custody, police say the suspect struck a Constable in the face and spit at another.
He was arrested promptly after, and his other charges includes a result, assault by choking suffocating, or strangling, uttering threats to cause death, and mischief under $5000.
