Regina Police have arrested a man and a woman following a stolen vehicle investigation.
At 8:30 p.m. on Friday night, officers were patrolling in the area of Winnipeg Street and 6th Avenue when they saw a vehicle that had been reported stolen. Officers attempted a traffic stop, but the driver continued, running a red light and exceeding 100 km/h.
A short time later, officers located the vehicle, abandoned in the 1100 block of Wallace Street. Officers say the two people inside it were picked up by another vehicle and left the scene.
Then, just before 9:30 p.m., officers located the suspects in a vehicle that was travelling on Arcola Avenue East. All four occupants inside the vehicle were taken into custody. A firearm was visible in the back seat.
Now, 22-year-old Brayden Olsen is facing three charges, and 24-year-old Shay-Lynn George faces one. The pair will make their first appearance on these charges in Regina Provincial Court on February 19th.
