Very warm conditions during the second week of January offset the bitter cold between January 21-28 when calculating the monthly mean temperatures for eleven locations around Saskatchewan.

Precipitation was below normal in all areas except for the far north at Key Lake. Swift Current set a mark for the second driest January in 141 years. Ironically, it tied the mark that was set one year ago in 2025.
