Saskatoon Police have arrested a second suspect in connection to a shooting that occurred in April.
On Wednesday, members of the Community Mobilization Unit were conducting a retail crime blitz in the 1700 block of Preston Avenue North when they saw a man committing a theft. After a short foot pursuit, the man was arrested. Further investigation determined that the 28-year-old man was wanted on several warrants, including in connection to the shooting.
Police had previously arrested a 30-year-old man in connection to the crime and charged him with intentionally discharging a firearm in a reckless manner, aggravated assault, armed robbery, and failure to comply with court-imposed conditions.
