Saskatoon Police have arrested four people suspected of trafficking fentanyl.
Two men, age 34 and 35, and two women, age 26 and 32, are facing a combination of charges relating to drugs, weapons, proceeds of crime, and breach of conditions following an investigation by the Crime Reduction Team.
On Wednesday, both men as well as one woman were arrested without incident in the 100 block of 3rd Avenue North. A search of their persons found ammunition and methamphetamine. Following their arrests, a search warrant was executed at a home in the 100 block of St. Paul’s Place where an additional woman was arrested.
There, police seized 19.4 grams of fentanyl, 19.1 grams of carfentanyl, 250 mL of gamma-hydroxybutyrate, 1.6 grams of cocaine, 7.8 grams of methamphetamine, $364 CAD, a Ruger Mark IV .22 automatic handgun with a loaded magazine, assorted ammunition, bear spray, body armour, assorted edged weapons, and an expandable baton.
