Police have arrested and charged two more people in connection to the December 2024 death of 30-year-old Timothy Tootoosis.
Two men were arrested in Saskatoon—22-year-old Emmery Aubichon last Friday and 45-year-old Vernon Peequaquat on Monday. Each has been charged with first-degree murder, offering an indignity to human remains, and unlawful confinement. Both men were remanded into custody until their next court appearance.
Earlier last week two other men were arrested in connection to the homicide. Forty-year-old Michael Landry and 27-year-old Michael McCallum were arrested in Saskatoon and they face the same charges. And on November 6th, 41-year-old Donovan Lemstra was arrested by members of the Calgary Police Service in Calgary in relation to this homicide. Lemstra has also been charged with first degree murder, offering an indignity to human remains, and unlawful confinement.
At approximately 7:30 p.m. on December 18, 2024, officers were executing a search warrant at a home in the 1700 block of 22nd Street West. Upon walking in, they found the body of Timothy Tootoosis.. Three men and one woman were taken into police custody for further questioning but were later released without charges.
