A duo from the RM of Manitou Lake is facing a combined 15 charges after RCMP found a slew of stolen property near Neilburg.
The investigation was opened on August 8th in relation to what police believed was an individual with multiple outstanding warrants suspected of trafficking drugs in Neilburg.
The man, 32-year-old Brett Schnieder, was arrested on September 11 at a business in Wainwright, Alberta. The woman with him, 28-year-old Kendra Sylvestre, was also arrested. In their vehicle, parked outside; one loaded 9mm carbine rifle, and two ounces of cocaine.
RCMP then traveled to a residence in rural Neilburg to continue the search. What they found were one SKS carbine-style rifle, thousands of rounds of ammunition, four stolen ATVs, two side-by-side vehicles, one snowmobile and one SUV. Half of the rightful owners have been identified, and the remaining ones are asked to contact 310 RCMP if they are missing either one green Polaris Arctic Cat snowmobile, one red and blue motocross-style ATV, one black motocross-style ATV, or a green Honda full-size quad ATV.
The pair is scheduled to appear in court on October 16th.
