The Saskatoon Fire Department says they rescued a person from the water Monday night.
Fire fighters responded at 7:13 p.m. and the Rescue Boat was launched to retrieve an adult person, gender unspecified, who was hanging on to a bridge pier. It would have been the University Bridge because the call came from the South Saskatchewan River at 25th Street.
Paramedics from Medavie Health Services West were waiting at the Saskatoon Fire Department boat launch and the patient was taken to hospital.
That’s the second water rescue in the course of three days. Fire crews also conducted a water rescue Saturday night in Saskatoon near the Circle Drive Bridge.
