Prairieland is adding a new function to its list of signature events.
Director of Signature Events Candace Shierling says the “Oktoberfest on the Prairies” event will be taking place in Saskatoon on October 3rd and 4th.
The 19+ festival will be taking place inside Prairieland’s brand new 22,000 square foot tent, providing enough room for performances from Saskatoon’s Concordia brass band, pretzel toss and yodeling competitions, and a best-dressed competition, so wear your lederhosen.
“This is an inaugural event. It has never happened before, so we’re excited to see who shows up and how it goes!”
For food options, Prairieland will be selling pretzels, a German food truck will be on site, and so will a barbeque truck offering Bavarian sausage.
To make the festival even more special, it coincides with Prairielands’ 140th anniversary.
Tickets are available online at prairieland park for $33 each.
