Emergency crews were called to a water rescue incident Saturday night on the South Saskatchewan River near the Circle Drive Bridge.
At approximately 11:20 p.m., the Saskatoon Fire Department’s Water Rescue Team, alongside Saskatoon Police and Medavie Ambulance, arrived on scene following reports of an injured person in the water. Two rescue technicians launched a boat, with one entering the water to safely lift the injured adult into the vessel.
The patient was brought to shore and transferred to fire and ambulance paramedics for assessment before being taken to hospital with undisclosed injuries.
The scene has since been turned over to police for further investigation.
