Charges are pending for a 44-year-old Saskatoon man involved in a Monday afternoon incident in which he not only attempted to evade police, but almost injuring officers while driving a vehicle.
According to a Saskatoon Police Service news release, officers responded to an emergency call at about 1:35 p.m. on September 22 regarding someone who wanted to harm himself. Police arrived at the home in question in the 100 block of Tucker Crescent and found a man inside a vehicle in the garage.
Police say the man refused to exit the vehicle, instead choosing to try and flee, striking fences and almost hitting officers. The male driver nearly struck police cars while trying to evade police, eventually ending up on a neighbourhood lawn in the Salisbury Drive area. Officers were able to bring him into custody without further incident.
