The Saskatoon Police Service says two teens were arrested Thursday after police received a call around 1:00 p.m. from the 300 block of Avenue Q North about a group of kids with a weapon.
Arriving officers were told that a man had been walking on Rusholme Road when he was approached by a group of youth who produced a firearm and threatened him with it before the victim fled. Police located suspects nearby who were arrested. They say an imitation firearm was located on one of their persons.
A 12-year-old male has been charged with uttering death threats and attempted robbery with a firearm while a 13-year-old male is charged with possession of a weapon to commit an offence, unauthorized carry of a concealed weapon, uttering death threats, and attempted robbery with a firearm.
