A 25-year-old woman is in court today charged with armed robbery and multiple firearms related charges after the Prince Albert Police Service responded to an armed robbery at a business Sunday afternoon.
The call came in at 3:40 p.m. from the 2200 block of 6th Avenue East where a 30-year-old male victim told officers that a woman had threatened him with a firearm and stole his vehicle.
Officers located the stolen vehicle and followed the vehicle from a distance before it stopped in the 2100 block of 2nd Avenue West and the occupants fled.
Shortly after, officers were able to successfully arrest a female suspect. A K9 track was also conducted by members of the Canine Unit and led to police locating and seizing a backpack containing a firearm and ammunition before ending the track in the location of the arrest.
The male victim was not physically injured.
