Friday morning is the fourth year for the KidSport pancake breakfast in downtown Saskatoon.
Braxton Lawrence is with Kidsport and says this is one of their biggest fundraisers allowing KidSport to cover registration costs for children age 5 to 8 years who want to participate in sport, but the family may have some financial challenges.
Lawrence says, “The life lessons you learn through sport whether its teamwork, discipline, hard work, how to lose, how to win and anytime we can help and get a kid involved in something like that, is a big win for the community.”
The community is invited to River Landing from 7 to 10:30 a.m. to enjoy a breakfast of pancakes, sausages, juice or coffee for $10. There is also a 50/50. Over the past three years the pancake breakfast, sponsored by Cameco, has raised $140,000 for kids in the community to participate in sport.
