The Saskatoon Blades aren’t going anywhere from your radio dials. The team announced today a new three-year agreement with Saskatoon Media Group through to 2028, keeping all regular season and playoff games on CJWW. The agreement continues the longest-running broadcast partnership in the team’s history, plus long-time play-by-play voice Les Lazaruk will return for his 32nd season with the club. Before the switch to CJWW, Blades games had been carried on sister stations 98Cool FM and 92.9 The Bull FM since 1999 prior to the 2021-22 season.
The first broadcast of the 2025-26 season will be on Friday, September 5th as the Blades travel to Prince Albert for pre-season tilt against the Raiders with the pre-game show starting at 5:45 p.m. The Blades open the season with a home-and-home weekend against the Raiders, visiting P-A on Friday, September 19th and return to SaskTel Centre on Saturday, September 20th. Training camp begins tomorrow at the Martensville Recreation Centre until Sunday with all practices and scrimmages open to the public. First on-ice session tomorrow is at 9:15 a.m.
