Update:
Four people are now facing charges in relation to the shooting-turned-collision from Tuesday afternoon.
At around 4:10 p.m., police were dispatched to a weapons call in the 1400 block of 1st Street East. Police learned that there were multiple gun shots heard before a red truck was seen speeding away down 15th Avenue East.
Officers later found the vehicle in the intersection of 15th Avenue East and 28th Street East where it had collided with another vehicle. The four people inside the suspect vehicle fled the scene on foot before being arrested shortly after.
A successful K9 track resulted in police locating a firearm and ammunition. Investigation determined that the shooting took place in the 1400 block of 1st Street East where two vehicles had one bullet hole each. Continued investigation also determined the red truck had been stolen.
Now, a 30-year-old woman, a 30-year-old man, a 26-year-old man, and a 21-year-old woman are facing charges.
The two people inside the other vehicle were treated by Parkland Ambulance Paramedics and transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
