Saskatchewan’s Rural and Remote Health Minister is spending the day touring several communities that have received healthcare investments in the most recent budget.
Lori Carr paid visits to both Shellbrook and Prince Albert. The 2025-26 budget included $322 million toward construction of the Prince Albert Victoria Hospital Acute Care Tower. When it’s finished, the Province says hospital capacity will increase by 40 per cent to 242 inpatient beds.
Additional capital investments include $1.45 million at the Parkland Integrated Health Centre in Shellbrook to replace exterior walls.
