WEGO is Remai Modern’s annual art festival and is back for two days on August 24th and 25th. The two-day family-friendly festival showcases art and activities for all ages to enjoy.
Stephanie McKay is Communications Manager at Remai Modern and says it includes an art focus, but it also offers other activities for families. She said they have brought in a lot of community partners and performers to the event to make it special.
McKay says there are a lot of artists participating in WEGO and some of the partners include the Saskatoon Public Library, the Western Development Museum, Meewasin Valley Authority, Wonder Hub, Ukrainian Museum of Canada, the Children’s Festival, Girls Rock Camp YXE and OUTSaskatoon.
The first day is both indoor and outdoor with the second day offering an indoor Low-Sensory program. Two outdoor stages will offer music from several performers and as a thank you to the people of Saskatoon for supporting Remai Modern, this festival is free to attend.
