Covid-19 activity is low but increasing according to the Province’s biweekly respiratory illness report.

On the week ending August 9th, there were 26 positive Covid tests compared to 15 positive tests during the prior reporting period. RSV test positivity remained stable at 0 positive tests, and influenza test positivity remained stable during this reporting period at 0.7 per cent.

When it comes to hospitalizations, Covid-related hospital visits increased from six for the previous two weeks to eight for the most recent two weeks. No influenza or COVID-19 associated deaths were reported in the last four weeks.
