Jonathan Ouellet-Gendron
The Saskatoon Police Service says they have arrested the outstanding suspect in a May 2022 homicide, and he is in Saskatoon court Friday morning charged with First Degree Murder.
Early August the Saskatoon Police Service Major Crime investigators learned that 36-year-old Jonathan Ouellet-Gendron was in Mexico. In coordination with the RCMP, arrangements were made for him to return to Canada, and on August 9th, he was arrested by police in Montreal. Ouellet-Gendron was then returned to Saskatoon.
Ouellet-Gendron was a suspect in a homicide that occurred on May 19, 2022, in the 700 block of Melrose Avenue that resulted in the death of a 29-year-old man. A 35-year-old man was also charged.
In a news release Acting Chief of Police Dale Solie said, “We also want to acknowledge the support of the Bolo Program, whose efforts to highlight Canada’s most wanted individuals have been instrumental in bringing national attention to cases like this. When agencies and organizations work together toward a common goal, we are able to ensure that those who are wanted in connection to serious matters are held accountable and face the justice system.”
