An elderly Regina man is in the hospital after he was hit by a vehicle Wednesday evening.

Regina police officers were dispatched to an alley in the 2300 block of Scarth Street shortly after 5:00 p.m. When they arrived, they found the man lying on the ground suffering from life threatening injuries.

Initial findings are that the driver was backing out of a parking stall when they struck the pedestrian.

The investigation is ongoing.
