The Saskatoon Fire Department says firefighters arriving on scene of an apartment building fire could see black smoke coming from a 2nd storey balcony.
The call came in around 11 p.m. from the 800 block of Confederation Drive in Saskatoon’s Massey Place neighbourhood.
A search confirmed all occupants safely evacuated. No one was hurt and after the fire was brought under control, crews ventilated the building to remove smoke and then tested the air quality before anyone was allowed back inside.
A fire investigator is determining the cause, origin and damage estimate.
