The Government of Saskatchewan says this province’s manufacturing sales growth is second best in Canada.
Statistics Canada’s latest numbers show an increase of 4.4 per cent in May 2025 compared to April 2025. This is the second highest month-over-month increase among the provinces second only to New Brunswick at 5 per cent month over month.
In a news release Trade and Export Development Minister Warren Kaeding said. “The huge growth we are seeing in manufacturing sales means businesses can invest with confidence as our economy continues to grow and prosper.”
Meanwhile the inflation rate rose at a faster pace in eight provinces including Saskatchewan increasing from 1.6 per cent in May to 1.7 per cent in June. Nationally the Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose 1.9 per cent on a year-over-year basis in June, up from a 1.7 per cent increase in May.
