Pierceland RCMP are investigating after a 25-year-old woman was found dead at a home in the RM of Beaver River.

On Friday, officers were called to a structure fire on the property, and when they arrived, Juanita Wahpistikwan from Big Island Lake Cree Nation was found dead.

Investigators are looking to speak with anyone who had contact with her on July 10 and 11. If you saw or spoke with her, or have information about her death, contact Major Crimes or Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers.

RCMP say updates will be provided when possible. If an imminent risk to public safety is identified, the public will be notified.
