The Saskatoon Police Service CTSS (Combined Traffic Service Saskatchewan) and members from Corman Park and Vanscoy Police Service were conducting speed enforcement on Valley Road, on July 8th when a vehicle was stopped for not having a license plate. In a news release police say that during the stop, the occupants were in possession of a number of stolen drivers’ licenses, birth certificates, treaty cards, forged cheques, and forged documents.
The police also say officers located numerous drugs and drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle.
A 42-year-old man was arrested and charged with 17 criminal code violations that includes identity theft, fraud, forgery, possession of methamphetamine and cocaine, and breach of release conditions. In addition to these charges, he was also arrested on a number of outstanding warrants.
The 33-year-old driver of the vehicle was issued three tickets related to the traffic stop and the vehicle was impounded for 60 days.
