Today is the first day of Saskatchewan Parks Week, as proclaimed by the provincial government.
Parks, Culture and Sport Minister, Alana Ross considers the week an opportunity to enjoy the outdoors, connect with nature and experience the special events at the provincial parks.
Something new this year for Parks Week is free entry to any provincial park next Saturday the 19th, which is now officially called Parks Day.
Some of the events for the day are hiking the dunes at Douglas Provincial Park, Craft Club at most of the provincial parks where you can make your own keepsake and Escape the Park at Pike Lake.
