Stacey Matson has been announced as the Saskatoon Public Library’s 2025/26 Writer in Residence.

She is a children’s and young adult author based in Vancouver, B.C. originally from Calgary. Matson’s first book, A Year in the Life of a Total and Complete Genius, received several was named a Junior Library Guild Selection and winning the Chocolate Lily award. Her fifth novel is slated for publication in 2026.

Her residency at SPL will run from September 2025 to the end of May 2026.
