The Saskatoon Fire Department undertook a water rescue at 3rd Avenue South shortly after 5 p.m. Thursday. Arriving firefighters could see a paddleboarder bringing a person in distress towards shore.
Fire crews fed a rope out to the paddle boarder to help in moving the patient and transferred the person in distress to the rescue boat then to the boat launch and to hospital.
The scene was turned over to police and no further details are available.
