The provincial government is investing over $1.3 million in capital and equipment upgrades in the healthcare facilities in both Melville and Esterhazy.
Over the next two years, patients, residents and staff will notice safety and efficiency improvements to their facilities such as new flooring and water systems at the St. Paul’s Lutheran Home in Melville, priced at $100,000 and 160,000 respectively. At the Melville & District Health Centre, flooring work is planned and expected to cost $150,000.
Over in Esterhazy, planning work is underway to replace the St. Anthony’s Hospital and Centennial Special Care Home with an integrated facility worth $250,000. Additionally in 2026-27, there are plans to replace sewer lines at St. Anthony’s Hospital, and sanitary waste piping at Centennial Special Care home, projects which combined are estimated at $650,000.
