Around 11:30 p.m.on Monday, White Butte and Fort Qu’Appelle RCMP responded to a two-vehicle collision on Highway #10 approximately 34 kilometers southwest of Fort Qu’Appelle. A semi truck traveling towards Regina and hauling hay and a pickup truck traveling northeast collided in the roadway.
The lone driver of the pickup truck, a 45-year-old man from the Regina area, died at the scene. The lone adult male driver of the semi did not report any injuries to police.
Highway #10 was blocked for several hours through the night while investigators were on scene. EMS and fire services from Fort Qu’Appelle provided response at the scene, as did STARS.
