Saskatchewan fire crews are currently battling 54 active wildfires, up nine from Sunday, with two communities evacuated and emergency response teams mobilized.

The province has already seen 305 wildfires this year, far surpassing the five-year average of 176. While 14 fires remain uncontained, others are under varying stages of control. This marks a sharp rise in emergency incidents compared to 2024, with flood activity remaining minimal.

As of 11:00 a.m. Sunday, the Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency was reporting five fires of note. These include the Shoe, Pisew, Santo, Wolf and Ditch fires.
