Starting Sunday, June 29, Saskatoon City Hospital’s Emergency Department will expand its hours to 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. as part of a phased plan to return to full operations following a spring reduction.
The Saskatchewan Health Authority says improved physician staffing is enabling this gradual approach while supporting services at all three Saskatoon emergency departments, with Royal University Hospital and St. Paul’s Hospital continuing to offer 24/7 emergency care.
Plans to add 109 acute care beds are also underway at Saskatoon City Hospital, while residents are reminded to use HealthLine 811, walk-in clinics, or pharmacies for non-emergency needs.
