The City’s Park Upgrade Program is funding improvements to several parks and playgrounds in Saskatoon this summer to address deficiencies and bring them up to current standards. Enhancements focus on new and improved pathways, lighting, upgraded irrigation and drainage systems, tree planting, picnic tables and play structures.
Additionally, the Government of Canada’s Natural Infrastructure Fund (NIF) is supporting new playgrounds at Marriott and Boughton Parks. Food Forest Demonstration Sites will be developed as well as improvements to irrigation and naturalization at both Boughton and Leif Erickson Parks will be made.
Portions of these parks and some amenities will be temporarily closed while these changes are occurring.
