The Healthy Beaches program is back. That means starting this week the Ministry of Health will post results which report on the water quality at some beaches in the province including Pike Lake, Regina Beach and Echo Lake.
Water samples are collected and analyzed from June through August at various Saskatchewan public beaches to determine whether water quality meets the Canadian Recreational Water Guidelines. Water sampling began June 23, and results will be available later this week.
The government says it is important that residents follow notifications posted at the beach as closures can happen evenings or weekend and may not be immediately reflected on the website.
