Saskatoon Public Library is announced changes to its operating hours which it says is based on nearly 3,000 survey responses combined with data on current visitation patterns.
The new hours go into effect at the Frances Morrison Central Library this coming Monday but don’t go into effect at all other locations until September 7th.
Frances Morris Central Library will be open 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. Monday to Thursday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. although all library locations will be closed Sundays from July 6 to August 31.
Friday hours at Frances Morrison Central Library will change to 9 am to 6 pm on Sep 7.
For a month earlier this year two of the library locations, Frances Morrison and Dr. Freda Ahenakew, closed citing a lack of available community support services as the reason for the closures, along with some violent patron behavior in the face of rising drug overdoses.
