A 32-year old man, who was arrested at the scene of Saskatoon’s sixth homicide of 2025 early Monday morning, has been charged with second degree murder. and was scheduled to appear before a Justice of the Peace Monday evening.

At about 1:25 a.m. Monday, Saskatoon Police Service officers responded to a disturbance call in the 700 block of Weldon Avenue. When officers arrived the located a deceased 53-year-old woman. The Saskatoon Police Service Major Crimes detectives and the Forensic Identification Section attended the scene and the 32-year-old male suspect was arrested.
