Three people were arrested during a day of proactive traffic stops by the La Ronge Crime Reduction Team (C-R-T) on Highway 55 in Big River almost two weeks ago.
Twenty-six-year-old Robert Lemaigre, 44-year-old Tanya Herman and 26-year-old Tyra Herman – all of the Clearwater River Dene Nation – are each charged with one count possession of property obtained by crime over five thousand dollars and will appear in court in Big River on August 13. According to a Saskatchewan RCMP news release, during one of the many traffic stops the La Ronge C-R-T executed back on June 9, officers determined that Lemaigre was operating the vehicle with a suspended driver’s license. That led to the discovery of a small amount of cocaine in the vehicle, after which Lemaigre, Tanya Herman and Tyra Herman were arrested. An additional search of the vehicle turned up $11,980 in cash which police seized.
