The Saskatoon Police Service says one man was arrested after an evade police incident. Around 1:40 a.m. a Patrol officer saw a speeding vehicle on Diefenbaker Driver and tried to pull it over at Vanier Crescent, but it wouldn’t stop.
The Air Support Unit took over, a tire deflation device was deployed, and the vehicle came to a halt at 21st Street West and Avenue V South but the driver began to flee on foot however was apprehended a short time later by a Police Service Dog.
Saskatoon Police say a search of the vehicle turned up cocaine.
A 28-year-old man has been charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle being pursued by police while failing to stop, possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, and possession of the proceeds of crime under $5000.
