Two young men charged with Second Degree Murder in relation to Prince Albert homicide

The Prince Albert Police Service Major Crimes Unit has arrested two young men in connection to the September 2024 homicide of Darren Laviolette.
Both 19-year-old Darrenson Head and 21-year-old Hayden Joseyounen have been charged with Second degree Murder. Head was arrested on Tuesday in Melfort, and Joseyounen was arrested on the same day at a home in Prince Albert.

Back in 2024, the 22-year-old Prince Albert man was found unconscious and not breathing in the 1200 Block of 28th Street East. Paramedics pronounced Laviolette dead at the scene.

The two men appeared in court Wednesday.
