The Saskatoon Police Service says around 9:30 p.m. Thursday officers in the 900 block of 22nd Street West saw an altercation involving bear spray among a large group of people outside of a restaurant.

When an officer approached a woman fled on foot and deployed bear spray in the direction of the officers.

She was taken into custody, and a 19-year-old woman has been charged with Assaulting a Peace Officer, Possession of Weapon for Purpose of Committing an Offence, Carrying Concealed Weapon, and breaching court-imposed conditions.
