A 34-year-old woman is facing four charges including impaired driver following an evade police incident on Friday night.
At 10:00 p.m. officers were called to an erratic driver, which was located at the intersection of Idylwyld Drive North and 33rd Street West.
Officers attempted a traffic stop, but the driver sped away.
Members of the Air Support Unit monitored the vehicle and tracked its location, at which a tire deflation device was deployed. The vehicle came to a stop in the parking lot of a shopping centre in the 1700 block of Preston Avenue North.
Two women got out of the vehicle and began running away, but one was quickly apprehended. In addition, two individuals were arrested from the vehicle, including a 25-year-old man with outstanding warrants. With the help of a police dog, the fleeing driver was also taken into custody. Police believe she was under the influence of an intoxicant. An imitation firearm was located inside the vehicle.
