Saskatoon Police have arrested a girl after a paramedic was assaulted yesterday (Sunday).

Just after 8:00 p.m. police were called to the area of Circle Drive East and Warman Road for a report of a combative patient inside a stationary ambulance.

Officers say they learned that the paramedic was transporting the young female when she started to hit the paramedic several times, causing the ambulance to stop at the roadside.

Paramedics then restrained the youth until police arrived and arrested her.
