The Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency says all the fires in the province saw some rain on the weekend and according to Environment Canada there were areas that saw a considerable amount.
Twin Lake, north of Morse in southern Saskatchewan, saw 53 millimetres of rain while Porcupine Hills in the province’s northeast got 45 millimetres. Mistatim, which is about 50 kilometres east of Tisdale, saw 37 millimetres.
Environment Canada says a low-pressure system tracked through the province and some areas saw a general rainfall amount of 20 to 50 millimetres over 36 hours.
