The Horizon School Division—based in Humboldt—has organized the event for Tuesday, June 10th and Wednesday June 11th at the Uniplex.
About 600 Grade Ten students will participate in Agriculture Days on Tuesday and a similar number of Grade Eleven students will participate in Mining Days on Wednesday.
Through hands-on exhibits and conversations with professionals in agriculture and mining sectors, students will learn more about potential career opportunities. Kevin Garinger is the Director of Education for the Horizon School Division.
Even though the students are a couple of years away from graduation, this is the time to start thinking about the future.
The Horizon School Division covers a large portion of east central Saskatchewan.
Saskatchewan’s Minister of Agriculture, Daryl Harrison will attend Tuesday’s event.
