Environment Canada has issued both a special air quality statement and an air quality warning for the province due to wildfire smoke causing poor visibility and potentially negative health effects.

The smoke hovering on the west side of the province from Meadow Lake south to Gull Lake is expected to clear out Thursday afternoon, while the conditions impacting the eastern side of the province from Stanley Mission south to Yorkton is forecast to dissipate by Friday morning.
