Several brand names of air conditioners are being recalled due to a risk of mold accumulation. This recall involves U and U+ Window Air Conditioners made by Midea. Impacted brands include Comfort Aire, Danby, Frigidaire, Insignia, Keystone, LBG Products, Mr. Cool, Perfect Aire and Sea Breeze.

Water is pooling in the air conditioners and is failing to drain quickly enough, resulting in mold growth.

As of June 3, the company has received five reports of mold in the air conditioners in Canada and no reports of symptoms.
About 45,900 units of the affected products were sold in Canada between March 2020 and May 2025.
