The Saskatoon Police Service says officers responded to the 100 block of Spadina Crescent East around 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday after receiving a report that two men were point what appeared to be a handgun at others passing by on the pathway.
Police found two suspects and say they were in possession of a knife and brass knuckles.
A 29-year-old man is charged with Possession of a Dangerous Weapon and breach of court-imposed conditions. A second man, also 29 years old, is facing two counts of Possession of Dangerous Weapon Carrying Concealed Weapon, and breach of court-imposed conditions.
Meanwhile, the Saskatoon Police Service says patrol officers were flagged down around 1 a.m. Wednesday near 20th Street West and Avenue V South. A citizen told them about a person walking in the middle of the street a short distance away.
In a news release, the SPS says the male, when approached by officers, turned and appeared to point a handgun at them – twice.
The suspect was eventually taken into custody without further incident and police seized an imitation handgun.
A 48-year-old man is charged with two counts of Assaulting a Police Officer, and Possession of an Imitation Weapon for Purpose of Committing an Offence.
