A 25-year-old woman was arrested and has been charged following the robbery of a scooter from a child in Prince Albert Monday.

According to a news release from the Prince Albert Police Service, officers were called to the 1000 block of 15th Street West at about 12:50 p.m. on June 2 with initial information saying that a female with a knife stole a scooter from a child. Police located the 10-year-old victim, accompanied by their father, with the scooter they had recovered upon their arrival. Officers then saw the woman matching the suspect description nearby. She discarded the knife before being arrested and is charged with robbery and carrying a concealed weapon.
