There was a balcony fire in the 1100 block of Baltzan Boulevard on Sunday. The call came in at 6:05 p.m. and when firefighters arrived, they could see smoke and water coming from a 2nd floor balcony.

Fire officials say the sprinkler protection system had activated and the fire was extinguished. They stopped the water and confirmed there was no extension from the fire while removing smoke and toxins.

The evacuated residents were allowed to go back to their suites.

The Fire Investigator will determine cause, origin and damage estimate.
