As wildfires cause over 17,000 evacuations in Northern Saskatchewan and Manitoba, Saskatoon Community Foundation and United Way Saskatoon and Area Mobilize Community are
Responding in a coordinated effort to mobilize funds and collecet donations to support the evacuees.
More than 1,400 evacuees so far have arrived in Saskatoon and the Saskatoon Community Foundation (SCF) and United Way Saskatoon and Area are working together with key partners including the City of Saskatoon Emergency Management Organization (EMO).
The evacuees need transportation and activities to support the mental health, wellbeing, and belonging.
Donations can be made through the Saskatoon Community Foundation’s Emergency Response Fund on the Saskatoon Community Foundation website at
www.saskatooncommunityfoundation.ca, or through United Way’s 2025 Fire Evacuee Fund.
